Community for Wenatchee Valley Skate Parks
We love SKATEBOARDING and our COMMUNITY!! Our ulitmate goal is to “Skate it Forward” by advocating, fundraising and building an entire system of Skate Spots & Skateparks throughout the Wenatchee Valley in WA State. We promote Public Skateparks in North Central WA State’s Wenatchee Valley. Educating, advocating, fundraising, constructing and changing lives one skatepark at a time. We strongly encourage Parent involvement and participation. Our kids and families need SAFE & LEGAL places to skateboard. CWVS was formed in support of a new Skatepark at Pioneer Park! In addition, we’re working towards a future of more skateparks in the Wenatchee Valley and skate spots & plazas incorporated into existing parks facilities. Most skateparks get far more use than tennis courts, baseball fields etc. Why not build more? Become a friend of CWVS on Facebook today!
Pioneer Skate Park
Part of Pioneer Park adjacent to Pioneer Middle School in Wenatchee, this was the valley’s first skate park facility. The skate park closes at 10pm each day and is closed to anyone under 18 during school. No bicycles allowed.
Kenroy Skate Park
Kenroy Skatepark is located at Kenroy Park on James Street, across from Sterling Middle School in East Wenatchee. The skate surface is approximately 2,000 square feet. The features include a 3′ high 16′ wide bank on one end with a bank of the same size on the other. Other features include a 10′ bench, manual pad with kicker on the side and full length granite edge on the other. A 10′ long, 1′ high 3×3 grind rail and curbing cross the front and rear of the park. The design is geared toward younger kids and beginners, however, skaters of all ages and skill levels have already enjoyed the park and using it from dawn ’til dusk daily since opening in July 2010. Parents are strongly encouraged to watch their children skateboard just as they would other sports. Like most public skateparks, helmets are not required at Kenroy, but the Community for Wenatchee Skateparks, Skaters for Public Skateparke (Wenatchee Chapter), and Eastmont Metro Parks srongly recommend helmets be worn, especially for beginners. All other rules are posted at the park.
